:While the engine switch is in ON
and the brake pedal depressed*, shift the shift lever while pushing the shift release
button on the shift knob.

■To protect the continuously variable transmission
If the continuously variable transmission fluid temperature is high, “Transmission
Oil Temp. High Stop in a Safe Place and See Owner’s Manual” will be displayed on
the multi-information display and the vehicle will go into transmission protection
mode automatically...
Other information:
1 Pressing the cancel switch cancels the speed control.
The speed control is also canceled when the brake pedal is depressed.
2 Pressing the “+RES” switch resumes the cruise control and returns vehicle speed
to the set speed.
However, cruise control does not resume when the vehicle speed is approximately
16 mph (25 km/h) or less...
The following may indicate that your vehicle is overheating.
The engine coolant temperature gauge (®P.91, 95) is in the red zone or a
loss of engine power is experienced. (For example, the vehicle speed does not
increase.)
